Purpose

This troubleshooting guide will show how to square the Z-Axis for the Sci-Print VX2/VXL.
Please follow the steps below to properly square the Z-Axis.

1. How to square the Z-axis.

a. Remove the 4 hood screws using a 3mm allen wrench.
b. If equipped remove the grounding strap located at the top left corner of the
upper gantry
c. Remove the hood and set aside.
d. Press the E-stop or turn unit off, and cut off airflow

  • Page 2 TS-1018 8/26/2015 Scinomix, Inc. e. Move the z-axis to a spot comfortable for working (I like to have it positioned in the middle as shown below). f. Look to the back side of the upper gantry, where the X-axis bearing rail, and circuit board is located.
  • Page 3 TS-1018 8/26/2015 Scinomix, Inc. g. Loosen all 4 screws but do not remove them. The 2 screws on the right side are 3mm Allen screws, and the 2 on the left are 4mm allens. h. *This step is easier with the help of someone to hold the arm* Straighten the arm perfectly straight, so the bracket is flush to the arm.
