Questions and answers
can I use an led in place of a par 38 in the ds-12 dimmer system
The NSI DS12 dimmer system is designed to control lighting loads rated for 115/120V and within the dimmer's wattage and ampacity limits. While the documents do not specifically mention compatibility with LED bulbs, using an LED in place of a PAR 38 bulb depends on the type of LED and whether it is dimmable and compatible with the dimming method used (e.g., phase-control dimming). Standard dimmer packs like the DS12 may not work properly with all LED bulbs, especially non-dimmable ones or those incompatible with traditional dimming systems.
Therefore, LED bulbs must be dimmable and confirmed compatible with the dimmer type used in the DS12 system.
