Introduction

Please read the RC-Chamber ® reusable instructions for use carefully before first use. Please also follow the instructions of the nebulizer.

The RC-Chamber ® reusable package contains:

• Mouthpiece
• Valve & inhalation control Cross Valve Technology™
• Spray entrance chamber
• Back piece: transparent plastic ring with permanently integrated rubber adapter
• The items 3071, 3081 and 3091 each include a mask

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Continually check for foreign objects in the RC-Chamber ® reusable, for damage to any of the parts or if any parts are missing.
2. For mask use: Place the mask on the RC-Chamber ® reusable mouthpiece.
3. Remove the sealing cap from the mouthpiece of the dose inhaler and shake dose inhaler spray vigorously before each use.
4. Place the mouthpiece of the dose inhaler as shown in the figure in the provided rubber adapter of the RC-Chamber ® reusable.
5. Place your lips tightly around the mouthpiece or place the mask airtight over the nose and mouth.
6. Push the cartridge of the dose inhaler down in order to dispense a spray into the chamber of the RC-Chamber ® reusable.
7. Breathe in and hold the breath for 5 to 10 seconds to optimize the effect. Children under 18 months should inhale 4 to 6 breaths, children and adults 2 to 4 breaths. Should several sprays be prescribed, then a one minute break should be taken before repeating steps V to VII!

PURPOSE FOR USE

The RC-Chamber® reusable is an inhalation device which was especially developed for MDI therapy with metered dose inhalers – so-called dose inhaler – and can be used for treatment of respiratory illnesses. The flexible rubber adapter is compatible with all common dose inhaler.

With the help of the RC-Chamber® reusable the coordination between releasing the dose inhaler and inhalation of the medicine is omitted. In addition the large, not respirable particles are filtered out. Therefore irritation as well as a fungal attack in the mouth and throat is prevented.

DISPOSAL

Dispose the RC-Chamber® reusable appropriately at the end of its product life.

MATERIAL DURABILITY

RC-Chamber® reusable can be reprocessed (sterilised) up to 40 times if no rinsing liquid is used. The RC-Chamber® reusable as well as the mask should be replaced after 12 months.
