- Page 5 REAR OF VEHICLE Step 4: (A) The position for optimal placement of your Burco® V-rack is shown above. The rack performs best mounted offset from the center of the vehicle. The shorter base section of the rack should be positioned toward the vehicle’s center line. This positioning utilizes the taller roof and will allow the rack to accommodate larger windshields.
