Care and maintenance of the Soundbar
Installing firmware updates
Firmware updates are available free of charge and serve to enhance
product improvement and also function extension. Sonova Con-
sumer Hearing recommends to always install the latest firmware
version to ensure the best performance of your product.
You can update the firmware of the Soundbar and the AMBEO Sub(s)
using a USB flash drive or via the Internet using the Sennheiser
Smart Control app.
Update via the Sennheiser Smart Control app
To update the firmware via the Smart Control app, the Soundbar has
to be connected to the Internet via WiFi or Ethernet (> 53).
If you want to update the firmware, you have the following options:
• Tap the
Update
button in the start screen of the Smart Control
app (only visible if an update is available).
• Tap the
Update
button in the "Firmware" menu.
Update via a USB flash drive
Required USB flash drive:
• Memory size: 1 GB
• USB-A connection
• File system: FAT
1. Download the update file with the file name "image.swu" from the
website www.sennheiser-hearing.com/download and save it on a
USB flash drive.
Do not change the file name!

Switch the Soundbar on.
2. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB socket on the Soundbar.
