Installing or replacing an adapter card

This section provides instructions on how to install or replace an adapter card.
Your computer has one PCI Express x1 adapter card slot, one PCI Express x16
adapter card slot, and two PCI adapter card slots. See "System board connectors"
on page 84.
To install or replace an adapter card:
1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 85.
2. At the rear of the computer, press the release button 1 to open the adapter

latch 2 . If you are installing an adapter card, remove the appropriate slot
cover. If you are replacing an adapter card, remove the adapter card that is
currently installed.
