    Chapter 2 gives an overview of the router's hardware and software features, describes its appearance and the package contents. Chapter 3 explains how to install the router DIR-815 and configure a PC in order to access its web- based interface.

  • Page 7 You can configure the settings of the wireless router DIR-815 via the user-friendly web-based interface (the interface is available in several languages). The configuration wizard allows you to quickly switch DIR-815 to one of the following modes: router (for connection to a wired or wireless ISP), access point, repeater, or client, and then configure all needed setting for operation in the selected mode in several simple steps.

For security reasons, DIR-815 with default settings cannot connect to the Internet. To get started, please set your own password used to access the web-based interface and, if needed, configure other settings recommended by your ISP.
