If no sound is heard when connecting or disconnecting the audio jack from the PC while playing the audio, click the microphone icon() and enable it. The sound output from the camera may be inconsistent depending on the microphone device settings.

    Digital PTZ You can set the camera views to move after digital zoom is executed, rather than having the camera view change by physically moving the camera up and down (tilt) or left and right (pan). You can set a preset or change the camera views by setting a group of presets.

    Audio setup You can connect a microphone and speaker to a network camera and listen to the sound at a remote location where the camera is installed, or output audio from the camera to the location. When you complete the setting, click the [Apply] button at the bottom of the page.

    Bitrate The bitrate of the G.711 codec is 64 Kbps and cannot be changed. The bitrate of the G.726 codec is 16, 24, 32 and 40 Kbps; the compression ratio can be changed. Only 48 Kbps can be selected for the AAC codec. (Supported [Codec] options may differ depending on the camera specifications.) Gain Sets the amplification value of audio in.

    Object detection An object detection event can be triggered when the camera detects an object set by the user. The camera can detect four types of objects: Person, Vehicle, Face, and License plate. Click the [Apply] button when the setup is complete. The settings for object detection applies the same to [Object detection] under [Event]>[Event setup].
  • Page 87 To draw a polygon, select one of the lines of an existing quadrilateral and click the + sign to add a new vertex. Up to 4 vertices can be added to an existing quadrilateral.
