Clear any dust from the printer surface, filters and print area.
•
Turn on the printer if not already switched on.
•
Remove any media installed in the printer.
•
Check maintenance tank/waste ink bottle capacity and ink levels, replace as required.
•
Go to Epson.co.uk/support to find your model and update the firmware to the latest available.
Once the firmware update process has completed, either wait for your printer to restart, or switch
back on using the power button depending on which model you have. If your printer supports
Epson Edge Dashboard you can perform the firmware update from there.
•
If your model has HDK ink installed, use the stirring stick to agitate the HDK ink.
•
For printer model numbers SC-F6300 and above, follow the user guide on how to perform
head/cap maintenance before proceeding to the next step.
•
Perform a heavy clean from the printers control panel.
•
Install the media.
•
Run a nozzle check and observe the results.
•
If only a few nozzles are missing run a light clean to recover, for more extensive nozzle loss
perform the heavy clean again up to a maximum of three times, running a nozzle check in
between.
