    Applicable plant general safety practices must also be followed. BACA Systems designed your Miter X with safety in mind. Throughout this manual, safety precautions and warnings are highlighted for specific operations. Safety precautions are also posted on the equipment.
  • Page 4 Proper LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures must always be followed when servicing and/or maintaining the Miter X. Be aware that live electrical circuits are present in the control cabinet whenever the master disconnect is ON, regardless of whether the estop button is pressed or released.
  • Page 5: Stage 1

    Stage 1 Stage 1 of service for this machine would be helping the customer to solve minor issues. Some of this problem would be a misunderstanding of how the machine works or minor sensor or valve issues. With this service stage, you can ask the customer to look at LED on the PLC or as well as indicator on the sensor or the valve if it does what it suppose to do.

    InputOutput_Status Inputoutput status page will show you the status of the actual input and output of the machine. This page will help you determine if the input or the output of the machine is comparable to the physical movement of the machine. (Figure 2.2.1) Figure 2.2.1 SawVFD_CyclicStatus SawVFD_CyclicStatus page will show you the status of the saw VFD status.

    CarriageVFD_CyclicStatus CarriageVFD_CyclicStatus page will show you the status of the saw VFD status. This page will help you determine if the communication between PLC and carriage VFD is valid and compare between the program action versus the physical action of the machine. This page will show you real time value of actual speed, current and torque of the Carriage.

    Stage 3 Stage 3 of service for this machine would be helping the customer solve a more serious issues such as the sensor or valve needs a replacement or there is a fault on either of the motor. This stage would be identical with stage 2, the difference is that we can remotely access and change the bit on the PLC.
