In an environment where ASSIST mode does not function due to the limitations of all the available sensors, ELIOS 3 will fall back to relying solely on its IMU and barometer for stability. While in attitude control mode (ATTI), the altitude of the aircraft is automatically handled by the barometer. The drone will not automatically remain stationary in this mode and will constantly drift due to local wind and turbulence effects.
