Can't Connect to Wi-Fi

If you can't connect to a Wi-Fi network from Amazon Fire TV, check that your wireless
connection is turned on.

Disconnect the power cord from your Amazon Fire TV for three seconds, and then plug the
power cord back in.

Can't Pair a Remote or Game Controller

If you can't pair your Amazon Fire TV remote or wireless game controller, it may not be
within range or compatible.

Make sure you connect Amazon Fire TV to one of these network or router types:
o
Open, WEP, WPA/WPA2 PSK, and WPA/WPA2 EAP encrypted networks
o
B, G, and N routers on 2.4Ghz
o
A and N routers on 5Ghz
o
Hidden networks
Make sure wireless connectivity is enabled on Amazon Fire TV. From the Home screen,
select Settings, select System, and then select Wi-Fi.
Make sure you know your network password (if required). If you see a lock icon, a
network password is required. This password is not your Amazon account password.
Make sure your Internet connection is not down. Restart your router and modem to solve
most Wi-Fi network issues.
Do not place Amazon Fire TV in a cabinet, as it impacts signal strength to your Wi-Fi
router.

Amazon Fire TV is compatible with Amazon Fire TV remote, Amazon Fire game
controller, and many Bluetooth-enabled third-party wireless game controllers. To

Do not place Amazon Fire TV in a cabinet, as it impacts signal strength to your
remotes and game controllers.

Your remote must be within 30 feet of Amazon Fire TV.

Re-install the batteries. You have five minutes to pair your remote with
Amazon Fire TV before it goes into sleep mode.

If your remote isn't discovered, press the Home button for 5-10 seconds.
