( System Preferences > Display ) so that the HDMI/DVI monitor connected to
DS1's HDMI/DVI output is the primary monitor. When you disconnect DS1
from your computer, your computer's display settings return to default settings.
When re-connecting DS1 to your computer, the display settings that were
specified when DS1 was last connected are restored.
¦ Note The Matrox DS1 HDMI/DVI output supports the playback of HDCP
(content-protected) sources.

Gigabit Ethernet

Matrox DS1 has one Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting to a Gigabit Ethernet
network.
The network connected to DS1 is automatically selected by your computer. If for
any reason you need to select the network connected to DS1, the DS1 port
appears as Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot in System Preferences > Network . If
your network connection goes through a proxy server, select Thunderbolt
Ethernet Slot
settings in the Advanced options. If a network cable is connected to DS1's
Gigabit Ethernet port and another network cable is connected to an Ethernet port
on your computer, the network connected directly to your computer is used.
¦ Note The DS1 Gigabit Ethernet port supports wake-on-LAN (WOL).

USB

Matrox DS1 includes two USB 2.0 ports for connecting USB devices such as a
keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner. DS1 also features one front-mounted USB
3.0 port for connecting a SuperSpeed device, such as a flash drive or storage.
¦ Note The DS1 USB ports support wake-on-USB.

Audio

Matrox DS1 features one audio input (mono) and one audio output (stereo).
To set DS1 as your system's audio input/output, in System Preferences >
Sound
uses a discrete graphics card (non-integrated graphics card), and an HDMI
monitor is connected to DS1 (DS1/HDMI only), you can select the HDMI
monitor as the audio output for your system by selecting the monitor from the
sound settings. When you disconnect DS1 from your computer, your computer's
sound settings return to default settings. When re-connecting DS1 to your
computer, the sound settings that were specified when DS1 was last connected
are restored.
