+85°C. A fast A/D converter and auto-incrementation of the multiplexer channel make the M-Module™ ideal for fast sampling. The complete acquisition time of an M36N is 130µs for all 16 channels and the precision is typically 0.05% over the whole temperature range. The M36N features totally automatic adjustment of each channel and each input range.

One bit of additional information can be detected on pin BI. This pin does not trigger a function on the M-Module. By connecting this pin to IGND in the connector, you can detect whether the connector on the M-Module is plugged or not. MEN Mikro Elektronik GmbH 20M036N00 E2 – 2009-07-27...
Input Conditioning Single-Ended Acquisition (Current/Voltage) A standard M-Module version for 16 single-ended channels is available (see MEN’s website). The input voltage range is adjusted to ±10V for full scale and the second- order lowpass filter limits the input frequencies to 1kHz (can be changed on request).

Principle of Data Acquisition The M36N is an automatic data acquisition system with up to 16 measuring digits. It is based on ANALOG DEVICES Inc.'s AD7634 chips. These are fast 18-bit A/D converters. The component uses a charge redistribution successive approximation register (SAR) architecture to achieve a conversion rate of more than 100kSPS (8,1µs total conversion time).

Differing applications might require special adaptations of the M-Module applying to the source of the measured value. For this reason, input adaptation is not implemented on the M-Module itself but on a small additional PCB plugged on the M-Module. MEN Mikro Elektronik GmbH 20M036N00 E2 – 2009-07-27...
Functional Description Registers The M36N has a sequencer, which stores the data coming from the A/D converter in a dual-ported RAM buffer. The measurement order can be determined by the user. The buffer has a size of 16 data elements. A data element is comprised of a measurement Data Register, an Address Register and a Configuration Register.

The voltage inputs of the DC/DC converters are protected by a fuse. This fuse is not intended to be exchanged by the customer. Your warranty for the M36N will cease if you exchange the fuse on your own. Please send your board to MEN for repair if a fuse blows.
Serial Number MEN user documentation may describe several different models and/or hardware revisions of the M36N. You can find information on the article number, the board revision and the serial number on two labels attached to the board. • Article number: Gives the board’s family and model. This is also MEN’s order- ing number.
