  • Page 3 210 Series Assessment Remove all components and accessories from the tripod before servicing. Where necessary, components should be cleaned. All components should be examined for damage, corrosion, excessive wear and to ensure they are suitable for a further period of use. Ensure fasteners are present and secure where fitted.
  • Page 4 Ensure the legs fold open and close freely. Inspect the Head left and right head bolt and that when in travel position Bolt the legs are parallel to one another. Adjust if necessary. Check that the rope guide-locking ring rotates and is held in position by the ball spring plunger.
  • Page 5 Testing Static Load Testing Extend the legs to full height, then secure with the leg adjustment clips. To load lest the tripod, suspend a 600kg test load from the bow-nut. The tripod must support the test load for at least 15 seconds. Final Checks (Following Testing) Inspect all fasteners and joints for correct adjustment and movement.

  • Page 8 Inspect the head castings and ensure: There are no signs of damage or cracks. Pay particular attention to possible hair-line cracks. The legs open and close smoothly and the locating pin holes align correctly. Inspect the head locking pin and ensure: It is in good condition with no signs of damage.
