ULTRAFLEX
3.5 Types of installation
UC120 series hydraulic cylinder can be installed in different configurations, as shown in paragraph 1.3.
INTEGRA system provides for the connection of each cylinder directly to the hydraulic power unit.
For connection diagrams refer to the "INTEGRA Installation Instructions" supplied.
3.6 Filling and purging
After the first installation and after maintenance operations it is necessary to fill the system with hydraulic oil.
This operation must avoid the air in the system, to ensure the good system operation.
The filling and purging procedure must be carried out after all INTEGRA system components have been installed
and it can be enabled by means of the system's control panel.
The description of this procedure can be found in the "INTEGRA Installation Instructions" supplied.
CAUTION
It is very important to check the absence of air in the system before using the boat! We recommend trying to
manually move the engine/s or the helm/s towards port and starboard, making sure that there is no movement
of the cylinder body on the main cylinder shaft.
If the cylinder body moves too much, there is still air in the system. The air presence in the system can cause bad
responses to the controls and so it can cause damage, injuries or death.
3.7 Warnings for tilting
During transport and storage of the boat, following the tilting of the engines, in order to avoid the undesired felling
of the engines (in INTEGRA EPS systems) and/or the accidental contact of two engines (in INTEGRA JS systems),
the cylinders must be locked in a central position.
For this purpose, a kit consisting of two plastic brackets to be positioned on the stem is supplied with each UC120E
cylinder.
Proceed as follows:
1
Place the cylinder to the central position.
DANGER
Remove the brackets before using the boat. If the brackets are not removed, this will render the boat uncontrol-
lable and/or cause serious damage to persons or objects near the boat.
CAUTION
Store the brackets carefully after removing them for further reuse.
