1.INTRODUCTION The DA82 is a compact distribution amplifier, configurable for mono (1x8) or stereo (2x4) operation. Each input and output is switchable between calibrated and uncalibrated mode, allowing instant adjustment of input sensitivity or output level. All inputs and outputs are electronically balanced on XLR's.
2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS ELECTRICAL Input Impedance 20kOm balanced Maximum Input Level +20dBu Input Gain adjustable -12 to +12dB Output Impedance 75Om balanced Recommended Output Load 600Om to infinity Maximum Output Level +20dBu Output Gain adjustable -12 to +12dB Frequency Response 20Hz to 20kHz +0, -0.5dB Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)
3. INSTALLATION IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ THIS SECTION BEFORE USING THE UNIT. 3.1. INSPECTION & UNPACKING The model DA82 is carefully packed at the factory and the container designed to withstand handling in transit. However, if transit damage is evident, DO NOT discard any of the packaging material and notify the carrier immediately, as it is he who is responsible for such claims.

Although designed to withstand hum pick-up, and it is VERY important that the unit is not installed close to any electro-magnetic fields which may be generated from power transformers or motors. DA82...
3. INSTALLATION 3.3.POWER REQUIREMENTS & LINE VOLTAGE SWITCH The voltage Is normally pre-selected at the factory for the country of destination, and a sticker will indicate the voltage the unit Is set for. 3 versions exist : • 230V • 110-125V •...
DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS FRONT PANEL 1) CAL/UNCAL switch : In CALibrated mode, the input section gain is unity at 0dB. However, this may be adjusted via trimmer (2). In UNCALibrated mode, the input gain is controlled by potentiometer (3). 2) Input gain trimmer : this screwdriver adjustement trimmer allows +\-6dB gain in CALibrated mode.

4. DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS REAR PANEL Inputs are electronically balanced on XLR connectors. Wiring is as follows : Pin 1 Shield Pin 2 Pin 3 Cold If the input source is unbalanced, Pin 3 should be connected to Pin 1. However, it is preferrable to use a balanced cable with Pin 3 and Pin 1 tied together at the source, not at the input of the DA82.
