SETTING UP THE CAMERA

CHANGING BATTERIES

The Minolta DiMAGE E201 uses four AA-size alkaline batteries or AA Ni-MH
rechargable batteries.
Ni-MH rechargable batteries are able to power the camera for a longer time than
Alkaline batteries. Please ensure you use a suitable charger for Ni-MH. Consult your
vendor.
When replacing the batteries, make sure
the camera has been turned off by moving
the lens cover slide to
• The CompactFlash card may be damaged if
the batteries are removed without properly
shutting off the camera.
Open the battery/card chamber door by
sliding it in the direction indicated (1), then
open the door (2).
Insert the batteries as indicated by the +/-
marks on the back of the battery/card
chamber door.
Fold the battery/card-chamber door down
(1) and slide it slightly toward the front of
the camera. Then, while pressing down,
slide it back to the rear of the camera (2)
until it clicks.
