  • Page 2 1. What are the MDS-1400/2400/3400 Series Speakers? MDS-1400/2400/3400 are wireless, programmable, receive-only speakers that can be used with any Digital (DMR Tier2 TDMA) radio programmed in the UHF band (450-470MHz) for remote broadcasting. System will allow a user with a portable or mobile radio within range to transmit audio from their radio to one speaker, a select number of speakers within a building/area, or several speakers at once.

  • Page 5 3.3 How it works Each MDS Series speaker is a UHF band “Receive-only” DMR Tier II digital radio. Your two-way radios and the MDS speaker need to be programmed to be on the same UHF band radio frequency and Color Code before using (Contact your local Maxon dealer for programming help).
