Remove any material from belt cleaner.
Make sure all fasteners are tight. Tighten if necessary.
Check tension on cleaner. Re-tension if necessary.
Wipe all labels clean. If labels are not readable, contact Martin Engineering or a
representative for replacements.
Check blades for excessive wear. Replace blade if remaining carbide metal
thickness is 2 mm (1/12 in.) or less.
Monitor cleaner and after 7-10 days re-tension cleaner to overcome any thimble
bedding-in.
Remove equipment from service if there is any indication it is not functioning
properly. Call Martin Engineering or a representative for assistance. Do NOT
return equipment to operation until the cause of the problem has been identified
and corrected.
Remove all tools from maintenance area.
Start conveyor belt. Observe belt cleaner operation for several revolutions of the
belt. Service or adjust belt cleaner as necessary to ensure proper belt cleaner
operation.
