DISPLAY SETTINGS

The default display setting displays the set arc voltage and actual arc voltage on the digital display.
Pressing the MENU button once goes to the P05 - P99 parameters. These determine how the auto height control works. To adjust these, press the ENTER.
PARAMETER DESCRIPTION
Parameter used to prevent collision caused by a gap in the material. If the arc voltage exceeds the arc voltage
P05
set point plus this set number, the Torch height control will disable until it returns within set range.
Arc voltage precision, this is the minimum adjustment difference for the height controller. If set to 1V, and the
P06
actual arc voltage is more than 1V high or low, the height controller will adjust to compensate.
Sensitivity coefficient, this determines how quickly the Torch height will react to an arc voltage change. The
P07
bigger the number, the faster and more extremely the Torch will adjust. However, too much can cause the
Torch to get caught in a feedback loop where it will go up and down rapidly.
P11
Collision limiter. If the collision switch is triggered over the set number of times, the cut will be halted.
P18
Motor time ascending the Torch after the cut has finished.
Time the Torch will ascend when the arc is started. In some circumstances this can help prevent slag from
P19
getting into the Torch nozzle when the arc begins.
P20
Rapid descent time for dual speed IHS mode.
P99
Unused
The third option is the "H" parameters, which are used to interface the cut controller with the Torch height controller. These should only be altered at direction of
Eastwood Technical personnel.
The last, "SYS", is the system version number.
