M-ACCESS requires an environment that enables communications with the air conditioners and heat source units via the Internet; therefore, it is necessary to install a dedicated gateway as a repeater between the air conditioner/heat source unit side and the M-ACCESS server.

    ISTZ220019A 3.3 PC Setting for Gateway Setting The PC for gateway setting is required to install the gateway. Follow the instructions below to confirm the system requirements and browser settings of the PC for gateway setting. (1) System requirements of PC for gateway setting The PC used for gateway setting has the following system requirements: CPU clock : 500 MHz or higher (2 GHz or higher recommended)

    ISTZ220019A 3.4 Installation Procedure in Wireless Method Before installation, prepare the following equipment:  PC used to make settings  Wireless router (including cradle)   LAN cables x 3 (1) Device connection While referring to the figure below, turn on the power to each device connected via the hub. Plug the wireless router into the cradle and connect it to the hub via the wired LAN (*).

    ISTZ220019A (3) Gateway setting Set the gateway's IP address from the PC used to make settings according to the LAN-side IP address of the wireless router. (3-1) Network setting of PC used to make settings On the Windows desktop screen of your PC, select [Start] - [Settings] - [Network & Internet] - [Status] - [Change adapter options] - [Ethernet] - [Properties] - [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)].

  • Page 12 ISTZ220019A (3-2) Log in to the gateway setting screen. - Start the web browser from your PC, enter the following URL in the address bar, and press the Enter key. http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/ (*) "XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" indicates the gateway's IP address. The gateway's IP address is set to "192.168.0.110" by factory default. - Enter the user ID and password, and press the [Login] button.

Select [CGW Configuration] from the menu on the left side of the screen, and make IPv4 settings by referencing ① below. Also, the gateway has a function to send a stop command to all the connected air conditioners if no communication has been established with the server for 24 hours.

    ISTZ220019A (4) IP address setting for PC Change the IP address setting of the PC used to make settings again according to the gateway's IP address specified in step (3-3). In addition, you need to browse the web page on the PC in the next section (5), so set the default gateway and DNS server.

    ISTZ220019A (5) Gateway activation Carry out gateway activation to associate with the information on M-ACCESS. (5-1) Create the M-ACCESS account (only for users who do not have an account). Start the web browser from your PC, enter the M-ACCESS URL (https://mhi.m-access.net) in the address bar, and press the Enter key.
