Use TalkBack: when using the toggle switch
a pop-up message will appear with some introductions and ask for your
permission to allow it to have full control of your device. Tap ALLOW to
enable or tap DENY to not enable it.
TalkBack shortcut: when using the toggle switch
TalkBack, a pop-up message will appear with some introductions and ask for
your permission to allow it to have full control of your device. Tap ALLOW to
enable or tap DENY to not enable it.
Note: the first time you tap Use TalkBack or TalkBack shortcut, a green-
outlined introduction screen may appear and ask whether you want to turn on
TalkBack accessibility feature.
Tips about using TalkBack
Swipe left or right to move between items
Double-tap to activate an item
Drag two fingers to scroll
Press and hold both Volume keys (Volume up and Volume down) for a
couple seconds to turn off
TalkBack Settings
From the TalkBack screen, tap Settings to enable or disable further options.
New features in TalkBack: tap to enter a tutorial of new TalkBack features.
Audio
Text-to-speech settings: tap to enter settings for text-to-speech
output, including Preferred engine (Google TTS), language, speech rate
and pitch. You may use PLAY or RESET for simulation.
Verbosity: tap to set verbosity. You may choose a preset option from
High, Custom, to Low. There are other verbosity details that can be
enabled or disabled, including keyboard echo, usage hints, list and grid
information, element type, pitch changes and more.
Sound and vibration: tap to enable or disable Vibration feedback, Audio
ducking, and Sound feedback. You may set the Sound feedback volume
if you have enabled Sound feedback.
Controls
Customize Focus Indicator: tap to enable/disable Thick boarders or
select your preferred color for focus indicator.
Customize gesture: tap to customize gestures for navigating in
TalkBack mode. You may enter Practice gestures for a tutorial or tap
Reset gesture settings to default gestures. You may also change the
functions for the single-finger and multi-finger gestures on this screen.
