Position the subject in the focus frame and press the shutter button halfway to lock focus and exposure. Focus and exposure will remain locked while the shutter button is pressed halfway (AF/AE lock).

    X-T3 Owner’s Manual: Ver. 4.00 FACE/EYE DETECTION SETTING Intelligent Face Detection sets focus and exposure for human faces anywhere in the frame, preventing the camera from focusing on the background in group portraits. Choose for shots that em- phasize portrait subjects. You can also choose whether the camera detects and focuses on either the left or right eye when Intelligent Face Detection is on.
