2.1. COMMON (signal)
Check Digital Audio Data output from CODEC.
MAIN PCB
• IC107 : 17, 18, 19, 20 pin
DIR_LRCK, DIR_SCLK, DIR_SDATA, DIR_MCLK
Check Digital Audio Data input for PWM CONTROLLER.
MAIN PCB
• IC108 : 11, 22, 23, 24, 26 pin
MCLK, LRCK, SCLK, SDIN1, SDIN2_1
Check the PWM waveform output of PWM CONTROLLR using an
oscilloscope.
AMP PCB
• PF103 : 2, 4 pin (Lch, SPK-B)
6, 8 pin (Lch, SPK-A)
10, 12 pin (Rch, SPK-B)
14, 16 pin (Rch, SPK-A)
Check the waveform of the terminals above when the input function
is "Analog" and in a state "Volume 1" or higher.
If an approximate 3.3VP-P square wave can be confirmed at each
terminal, there are no problems with DIR (PCM9211) and the PWM
CONTROLLER (TAS5558).

No fault was detected in the PWM waveform at each terminal.
Check the PWM output of IC41, IC42 (TAS5142).
• L502 : TAS5142 side terminal (Rch, SPK - B)
• L503 : TAS5142 side terminal (Rch, SPK - B)
• L504 : TAS5142 side terminal (Rch, SPK - A)
• L505 : TAS5142 side terminal (Rch, SPK - A)
• L510 : TAS5142 side terminal (Lch, SPK - B)
• L511 : TAS5142 side terminal (Lch, SPK - B)
• L512 : TAS5142 side terminal (Lch, SPK - A)
• L513 : TAS5142 side terminal (Lch, SPK - A)
A test terminal or cable needs to be attached to the bottom side of
the AMP board to measure the waveform of each terminal.
There are no faults in the IC500 or IC502 (TAS5142) if an approx.
29VP-P square wave is confirmed at each terminal.

Identify the input function from which sound is not output or from
which noise occurs, and then check the troubleshooting sections
from 2.3 onwards.

Check Soldering or replace for the following parts.
• IC108 : 11, 22, 23, 24, 26 pin on MAIN PCB

PWM waveform (square wave) is not output.

Fault in the DIR (PCM9211) or PWM CONTROLLER
(TAS5558). Check "2.2. COMMON (power supply, com-
munication line)" , and then replace the IC108 (TAS5558)
if there are no faults.
2.1.B
NG
PWM waveform (square wave) is disrupted.
There is a high probability there are some faults in IC500
and IC502 (TAS5142).
Replace the IC500 and IC502 (TAS5142).
If the fault still occurs after replacement, check "2.1.A".
