12. Disposal

a) General Information

Please dispose of the unserviceable device according to the
current statutory requirements.

b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries

The user is legally obliged (Battery regulation) to return used batteries
and rechargeable batteries. The disposal of used batteries/recharge-
able batteries via the domestic refuse is not allowed!
Batteries / rechargeable batteries containing harmful sub-
stances are marked with the following symbols which indi-
cate that they are not allowed to be disposed of via the
domestic refuse. The designations for the respective hazard-
ous metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (mark-
ing can be seen on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g.
underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your exhausted batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries free of charge to the collecting facilities of your local
authority, to our stores or to any other store where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution
to environmental protection.
