Initial Set-up Hydraulic Reservoir Connections Mounting Auger Unstrap Lift Cylinder Connect pump supply hydraulic hose to the upper port (1) on the hydraulic reservoir. Connect opposite end of the hose to the suction port on the truck’s hydraulic pump. Connect pressure hose to the lower port (2) on the tender Remove tie wrap (1) securing auger lift cylinder to the frame.

Maintenance Gate adjustment Storage Because of the corrosiveness of granular fertilizers, the tender should be kept clean and lubricated to extend its service life and to prevent damage to the auger and other vital parts. For Short-term Storage Make sure the tender hopper and auger are completely empty.
Maintenance Troubleshooting To assist with maintenance and repair, the following list of common problems and corrections is provided. PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Hydraulic fluid overheats. Low fluid level. Fill hydraulic reservoir to recommended level. Relief valve pressure is incorrect. Check and adjust relief valve pressure. NOTE: If pressure is below 2,000 psi (13,790 kPa), the pump is most likely worn and needs to be replaced.
