GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WATERFALL USE
1. Unpack the product, wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Take out all
accessories: a bag of small stones, pump, adaptor, and a cleaning pin.
2. Familiarize yourself with the pump. Turn valve on pump counter clockwise
placing the handle in a horizontal position for maximum water flow. Turn the
valve on the pump in a vertical position for minimum water flow.
CAUTION: This pump has been evaluated for use with water only.
NOTE: It is recommended the pump be set at its highest flow during assembly
and later adjusted to a lower setting if desired. Be sure to unplug pump before
adjusting flow setting.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
• Do not connect to any voltage other than that shown on the pump.
• This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding-type
attachment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is
connected only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
• The national electric code requires that a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
be used in the branch circuit supplying fountain pumps and other pond equip-
ment. See your electrical supplies dealer for this device.
• If the supply cable is damaged it can not be replaced and the pump unit should
be discarded.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE
• Do not use with water above 30˚C.
• Do not pump flammable liquids.
3. Ensure that the unit is balanced when placed on a flat surface. Attach the AC
adapter jack to the base power cord and tighten. DO NOT plug into outlet at this time.
NOTE: Do not let pump run when NOT submerged in water. Doing so may damage the pump. Always submerge
the pump in water first, and then plug in the unit.
4. Fill base with distilled water to approximately 1/2" above pump. Use distilled water only. Tap water will create mineral
deposits that will result in the corruption of the Waterfall and pump..
5. Plug cord into 120V household outlet. Turn pump on to verify flow making sure it is not too high and everything is
operating correctly. Arrange small stones on top of plate.
WARNING: This is not a toy. To avoid danger of choking keep small stones away from Children and Pets.
NOTE: Ensure that the electrical cord loop below the electrical outlet." This will prevent water from running down
the cord into the electrical outlet.
MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS AND LIFE OF WATERFALL & PUMP
1. Ensure water pump is kept clean and free of debris. We recommend
using distilled water with this product.
NOTE: To clean pump, first make sure pump is UNPLUGGED
from 120V circuit and remove front plate. After removing the
front plate, the impeller holder must be removed. Remove the
impeller from the pump and check for debris and/or dirt. Rinse
impeller and pump under cold water. Reassemble.
2. Periodically change water and clean the structure of the waterfall
with a mixture of vinegar and cold clean water.
3. Add water to waterfall periodically to keep water level at an optimum
level (approximately 1/2" above pump) to avoid shortening the life of
the pump. Water level should completely cover pump at all times.
4. To store waterfall after use, unplug the waterfall from the electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a cool dry
place.
