7. Error rectification

Safety regulations

Warning
Risk of electric shock from charged
capacities!
Always disconnect the system from the
power supply and then wait a further
10 minutes before touching electrical
components.
The power capacities take this time to
discharge.

Warnings

Warning messages are show n in the 3rd display row .
The red light signal on the GD Pilot also flashes slow ly.
Warning messages do not result in the compressor
shutting dow n. How ever ignored w arnings may cause

faults.

Faults
In order to protect the unit, all detected faults result in
the compressor shutting dow n immediately or do not
permit the compressor to be started.
The faults are show n in the third display row . The red
light signal on the GD Pilot also flashes quickly.
Faults have to be rectified before the start and then

Checklist

Loose connections, connection plugs, defective pow er
supplies or non-observance of the installation notes
generally result in a large number of error patterns. It is
therefore not unusual for the errors show n to be traced
back to another cause.

1. The unit's supply voltage must be w ithin the
permissible limits.
2. The control transformer must be set to any local -
deviating mains voltages (see circuit diagram).
3. The sw itch panel temperature must not exceed
55 °C.
4. All remote controls fitted at a later date (remote
On/Off) must be managed w ithout a connection
relay at max. 20 metres from the control cabinet.
5. When commissioning and carrying out maintenance
w ork, check that all connections screw s and plugs
are tight.
6. The pow er supply must have an adequate cross-
section. When designing the cable, please therefore
note the type of routing, cable length and the
conductor temperatures expected.
7. When retrofitting sw itching devices, the control
transformers must never be 'tapped' as they could
be overloaded.
8. Only ever use genuine Gardner Denver spare parts.
9. Do not connect up extra sw itching or measurement -
devices w ithout the consent of Gardner Denver.
10. Do not route any measurement recorders out of the
unit.
11. If you have any technical queries, have the follow ing
information to hand to assist w ith a quick and
specific fault rectification:

Information about the unit's operating conditions
