1. For the built in tank, loosen the air vent
screw on the fuel tank cap by one turn.
For the external fuel tank, loosen it on
the fuel tank cap by 2 or 3 turns.
2. Select the fuel tank using the fuel cock
or open the fuel cock.
3. If you are using an external fuel tank,
connect the fuel joints securely and
squeeze the primer pump, with the ar-

row pointing up, until you feel it become
firm (if equipped the fuel joint).

Before starting the engine, make sure
that the boat is tightly moored and that
you can steer clear of any obstructions.
Be sure there are no swimmers in the wa-
ter near you.
