About acrylamide
Acrylamide is produced during processes involv-
ing intense heat (baking, frying, deep-frying,
grilling, toasting etc.), particularly in foods
containing starch.
At the present time, it is not possible to say
conclusively in what form acrylamide is harmful
to the human organism.
To be on the safe side you should not cook
your food for too long, as intense browning
may also lead to an increased risk.
A rule of thumb is: "Golden, not charred". As
research is set to continue beyond the issuing
of these operating instructions, keep an eye
on this subject in the press.
It is also well documented on the Internet.
