4.
Place the throttle midway between the "SLOW" and
"FAST" positions.
5.
Push the choke lever forward into the "ON"
position.
6.
Turn ignition switch to the "START" position.
Release the switch as soon as the engine starts.
Important: Do Not crank the engine
continuously for more than ten seconds at a
time. If the engine does not start, allow a 60
second cool-down period between starting
attempts. Failure to follow these guidelines can
burn out the starter motor.
7.
Gradually return the choke to the "OFF" position
as the engine warms up. Allow the engine to run an
additional 30 seconds, then turn the ignition switch
to the "OFF" position to stop the engine.
8.
Remove the key and pull the wire(s) off the spark

Servicing the Auxiliary Hydraulic
Oil
The machine is shipped with hydraulic oil in the
reservoir.
1.
Run the machine for approximately 15 minutes to
allow any extra air to purge out of the hydraulic
system.
2.
Completely raise and lower tines three times to purge
the air.
3.
Check hydraulic reservoir and if necessary fill the
reservoir to the appropriate level with AW–32 hydro
oil.
4.
Replace hydraulic reservoir cap and tighten until
snug. Do Not overtighten.
Note: The baffle is labeled "HOT" and "COLD".
The oil level varies with the temperature of the oil.
The "HOT" level shows the level of oil when it is at
225°F (107°C). The "COLD" level shows the level of
the oil when it is at 75°F (24°C). Fill to the appropriate
level depending upon the temperature of the oil. For
example: If the oil is about 150° F (65°C). Fill to halfway
between the "HOT" and "COLD" levels. If the oil is at
room temperature (about 75° F (24°C)), fill only to the
"COLD" level.
