Your system may have one or two power supplies. Each power supply has two LED indicators on the top back (see Figure 3): The red (front) failure indicator lights when a fault has occurred and the power supply needs replacing.

NOTE: The power supply will not function until the latch is engaged.

The side of the PSDB with the card-edge connector that mates with the power supply connector should be lowered into position first; this simplifies installation of the PSDB.

The operating life of the battery ranges from 2 to 5 years, depending on how you use the system (for example, if you keep the system on most of the time, the battery gets little use and thus lasts longer).
