A clear mind is essential for safety. • When feeding material into this equipment, be extremely careful that pieces of metal, rocks, or other foreign objects are not included.   • Page 13 • Do not allow an accumulation of processed material to build up in the discharge area as this will prevent proper discharge and can result in kick-back from the chipper chute. • Do not allow any part of the engine, especially around the cooling fins and muffler, to become clogged with processed material, leaves, oil, grease or any other combustible material.

    Open and unpack all items, leave lots of working space, and inspect all parts. Upon inspection of parts, if you find any missing or damaged parts please call DK2 POWER at 1 (888) 277-6960 or contact us via our website at www.dk2.com.

    2. Close each chute, and latch them. 3. Assemble the chip shield to the feed chute. 4. Plug the safety key shut off wire connectors together on the feed chute. 16 | OPC506E(X) man.

    STEP 3: AXLE & WHEELS 1. Remove all hardware from axle. 2. Install with 4 bolts to machine body. 3. Install wheels with air stem facing out, then large washer, then nut, then turn by hand to tighten. Back off nut to align with the hole, insert pin and secure. 4.

    Secure the battery to the unit using 2 bolts and hardware provided. CAUTION: Be careful when connecting the battery wires. DO NOT make contact with your tools or any other conductive material to the metal frame when installing the positive (red) wire. 18 | OPC506E(X) man.

    Before removing the last bolt, be sure to support the blade from sliding down into the drum. More paper towels or a shop towel does a good job at keeping this from happening. 5. Remove the blade, reverse it to the new sharp edge and reinstall it. Use only DK2 POWER OEM blades.

    STARTING YOUR EQUIPMENT 1. Position your machine on flat, dry ground. 2. Make sure the fuel shut off valve is in the “ON” position. 3. Move the choke control lever to the “CHOKE” position (should only be needed if the engine is cold).
