SETTING THE HANDSET
RINGER'S TONE AND
VOLUME
You can select one of four different ringer
tone/volume settings while the phone is not
in the talk mode. To change the tone, lift the
handset and press
TALK

peatedly press

Use MEMO to record a mes-
sage for others in your home or
office (see "Recording a
Memo" on Page 18), or record a
conversation (see "Recording
a Conversation" on Page 19).
Use SKIP
during playback (see "Playing
Messages" on Page 19), or set
the PIN (see "Setting the Re-
mote Operation Pin" on
Page 20.
Use PAGE to locate the handset
(see "Paging" on Page 15).
Use CLOCK to set the
current day and time (see

"Setting the Day/Time").

Note: If you plan to check messages by long
distance, set

SETTING THE DAY/TIME
You must set the day of the week and time
so the answering system can record the cor-
rect day and time of each message.
Note: Enter each key press within about 2
minutes. Otherwise, the answering system
exits the time setting process and you must
begin again with Step 1.
