Assigning the IP
Address to this Unit
To connect this unit to a network, you need
to assign a new IP address to the unit.
Before assigning the IP address, connect the
unit to a computer or a network (page 17).
You can assign the IP address in two ways:
• Using the setup program stored in
the supplied CD-ROM
For details on the operations, see
"Assigning the IP Address Using the Setup
Program" on page 20.
• Using the ARP (Address Resolution
Protocol) commands
Open the DOS window on the computer and
enter the specified ARP commands.
For details on the operations, see
"Assigning the IP Address to this Unit Using
ARP Commands" in the User's Guide stored
in the supplied CD-ROM.
Note
For determining the IP address to be
assigned to this unit, consult your system
administrator.

Using the Setup Program

Insert the supplied CD-ROM
disc into your CD-ROM drive.

Click the Setup icon of IP Setup
Program.
The "File Download" dialog opens.

Click Open.
Note
If you click "Save this program to disk"
on the "File Download" dialog, you
cannot install correctly. Delete the
downloaded file, and click Setup icon
again.

Install the IP Setup Program to
your computer following the
wizard displayed.
If the Software License Agreement is
displayed, read it carefully and accept
the agreement to continue the
installation.

Start the IP Setup Program.
The program detects the Network
Camera SNC-DF40N/DF40P connected
on the local network and lists it (them)
on the Network tab window.
