Prior to Operation
1. Replace the collet if required and mount the
appropriate cutter.
2. Adjust the depth of cut.

Proper Hand Position (fi g. 10)

Proper hand position requires one hand on the tool
as shown.
Trimming with Ball Bearing
or Pilot Cutters
1. Remove the skis and the copy follower.
2. Start the tool using the On/Off-switch.
3. Move the tool at constant speed, keeping
the ball bearing or pilot well against the base
material.
4. Switch the tool OFF.
Trimming Shaped Edges (fi g. 6)
WARNING: Always install the copy
follower when using cutters without ball
bearing or pilot.
1. Adjust the tip of the copy follower using the fine
adjustment screw (v) as required.
2. Start the tool using the On/Off-switch (a).
3. Move the tool at constant speed, keeping the
copy follower well against the base material.
4. Switch the tool Off.
Trimming Straight Edges (fi g. 5)
1. Click the straight guide (q) on the copy follower
(o) as described above.
2. Proceed as for shaped edges.
It is also possible to trim straight edges using the
copy follower only.
Removing Strips of Material from a
Flat Surface (fi g. 5, 8)
1. Remove the copy follower (o).
2. Mount the skis (s) under the sliding base (h) as
described above.
3. Place the skis over the strip of protruding
material (e.g. glue) to be removed.
4. Start the tool; hold it firmly and move it over the
strip to be removed.
5. Always switch Off the tool when work is finished
and before unplugging.
The skis can also be used for routing even
laminate inlays.
Dust Extractor or Hood
WHEN USING A BALL BEARING OR PILOT CUTTER (FIG. 7)
Fit the dust extractor hood (i) as shown. Placed
underneath the sliding base (h), the dust extractor
hood (i) can also serve as a guide for optimal control
of the trimming process.
WHEN USING SKIS AND A COPY FOLLOWER (FIG. 8)
Fit the dust extractor hood (i) as shown. Since the
dust extractor hood (i) now forms an extension to
the sliding base, it also provides optimal control of
the trimming process.
When trimming without the copy follower, it is
preferable to use a cutter with a ball bearing.
