Using an Extension Cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved
3–core extension cable suitable for the power
input of this tool (see technical data).The minimum
2
conductor size is 1.5 mm
; the maximum length is
30 m.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable
completely.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury, turn unit off and disconnect
machine from power source before
installing and removing accessories,
before adjusting or changing set-
ups or when making repairs. Be sure
the trigger switch is in the OFF position.
An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Removing the Motor Pack (fi g. 1)
Loosen the motor clamping lever (d) to remove the
motor pack (b).
Inserting and Removing a Cutter
(fi g. 2)
1. Separate the motor pack (b) from the trimming
base.
2. Hold the motor pack (b) while pressing the
spindle lock (j).
3. Insert the cutter shaft (l) in the collet (m).
4. Tighten the collet nut (k) using the
17 mm wrench.
5. To remove the cutter, hold the motor shaft while
pressing the spindle lock (j).
6. Using the 17 mm wrench, loosen the collet nut
(k) a few turns and remove the cutter.
Replacing the Collet (fi g. 3)
The Laminate Trimmer is supplied with an 8 mm
collet fitted to the tool. Two additional precision
collets are also supplied to suit the cutter used.
1. Loosen the collet nut (k) completely.
2. Remove the collet (m) and replace it.
3. Tighten the collet nut (k).
Depth of Cut Adjustment (fi g. 4)
Your Laminate Trimmer is equipped with a fine
adjustment wheel (n) to adjust the depth of cut.
1. Loosen the depth adjustment clamping
wheel (c).

2. Rotate the fine adjustment wheel (n) to the
desired position.
3. Tighten the depth adjustment
clamping wheel (c).
Fitting the Guides (fi g. 5)
Your Laminate Trimmer is equipped with three
dedicated guiding accessories.
COPY FOLLOWER
The copy follower (o) is used to trim along
shaped edges.
Fit the copy follower using the clamping
wheel (p).
STRAIGHT GUIDE
The plastic straight guide (q) is used to avoid
copying the imperfections in the edges of the base
material when using the copy follower (o).
1. Fit the copy follower (o).
2. Click the straight guide (q) on the bearing (r) of
the copy follower (o).
SKIS
The skis (s) are used to form a bridge for trimming
protrusions or routing laminate inlays.
1. Make sure that the recessed ends of the skis
point in the same direction.
2. Fit the two skis (s) underneath the sliding base
(h) using the fixing screws (t).
Adjusting the Copy Follower (fi g. 6)
SIDE DISTANCE
1. Loosen the clamping wheel (u) and set the side
distance using the fine adjustment screw (v).
2. Tighten the clamping wheel (u) again.
HEIGHT
1. Loosen the clamping wheel (p) and move the
copy follower (o) up or down as required.
2. Tighten the clamping wheel (p).
Fitting the Dust Extractor Hood
WHEN USING A BALL BEARING OR PILOT CUTTER (FIG. 7)
1. Remove the skis and the copy follower.
2. Fit the dust extractor hood (i) underneath the
sliding base (h).
WHEN USING SKIS AND A COPY FOLLOWER (FIG. 8)
1. Fit the skis (s) and the copy follower.
2. Fit the dust extractor hood (i) in the recessed
ends in the skis using the two fixing screws (w).
