Shutting down

 Remove the battery from the device.
 Remove leaves, chippings and soiling
from the hedge trimmer.
 Attach the blade guard.

Transport

CAUTION
Risk of personal injury or damage! Mind the
weight of the appliance during transport.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage! Only ever trans-
port the hedge trimmer with the rechargea-
ble battery removed and the blade guard
attached.

Storage

CAUTION
Risk of personal injury or damage! Consid-
er the weight of the appliance when storing
it.

Risk of injury and damage! Only ever store
the hedge trimmer with the rechargeable
battery removed and the blade guard at-
tached.
This appliance must only be stored in inte-
rior rooms.

Care and maintenance

Only approved original spare parts and
original accessories may be used in order
not to impair the safety of the device.
WARNING
Risk of injury! Remove the rechargeable
battery from the device before carrying out
any work on the hedge trimmer.
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Wear protective gloves and
safety goggles when carrying out any work

Maintenance Works

Cleaning the appliance
WARNING
Risk of damage! Use a moist cloth for
cleaning the device, never use a hose or
high-pressure water jet. Do not immerse
the device into water. Do not use solvent-
containing detergents.
 Allow the hedge trimmer to cool down.
 Remove plant residue and dirt from the
blade and motor casing with a brush.
 Clean the ventilation slits on the hedge
trimmer with a brush.
Checking the blade screw connection
CAUTION
Risk of injury! The blade's screw connec-
tion must be checked regularly.
 Check the screws/nuts to make sure
they are firmly in place.
 Tighten any loose screws/nuts.
Oiling the blade sections
In order to maintain the blade quality, the
blade sections should be oiled after each
use.
 Place the hedge trimmer on a flat sur-
face.
 Apply oil to the top of the blade sec-
tions.
NOTICE
You achieve very good results if you use
thin machine oil or spray oil.
