• Place charger on flat non-flammable surfaces and
away from flammable materials when re-charging
battery pack. The charger and battery pack heat dur-
ing charging. Carpeting and other heat insulating
surfaces block proper air circulation which may cause
overheating of the charger and battery pack. If smoke
or melting of the case are observed unplug the charger
immediately and do not use the battery pack or charger.
• When batteries are not in tool or charger, keep
them away from metal objects. For example, to pro-
tect terminals from shorting DO NOT place batteries in
a tool box or pocket with nails, screws, keys, etc. Fire
or injury may result.
• Do not put batteries into fire or expose to high
heat. They may explode causing serious injury.

rooms.
The K-39 electric powered tool is a double-insulated
design equipped with polarized plug. Double insulation
eliminates the need for the three-wire grounded power
cord and grounded supply system. This drain cleaner is
available in three styles:
• Slide-Action Chuck
• Slide-Action Chuck with Autofeed Assembly
• 3-Jaw Chuck
The slide-action chuck or the 3-jaw chuck grips the cable
so that it can be forced into the blockage as the drum con-
tinues to spin.
The autofeed attachment automatically feeds and re-
trieves the cable thereby eliminating the need for manual
control.

The Model K-39B (Figure 2) battery powered version
eliminates the need for a power outlet or extension cord
at the point of application. It is offered with the slide-ac-
tion chuck and the autofeed assembly.
