The Auxiliary output is separately isolated from the base card fuse. Should the Auxiliary output draw more than 500 mA, the output will shut down and the AUX 24 V DC Fault LED will be solid on.

The control panel requires an alarm resistance of between 400 – 800 Ω to be switched across the detection circuit to trip the fire zone into alarm condition.

This can be muted by simply connecting a 5V6 Zener diode at each sounder – check the polarity (see diagram). Some of these Zener diodes are supplied with the panel.

REPEATER CONNECTION A maximum of 7 (seven) ORYX Repeaters can be connected to an ORYX Fire Panel via the RS485 Communication Bus. The total cable run on the Communication Bus must not exceed 1200 metres. The DIL Switch on the ORYX FACP is used to set the repeater count on the Communication Bus.
