b) To replace a RAID controller preventively:
1) Shutdown the server connected to the RAID controller, the object of preventive replacement, and
remove the SAS cable connected to this RAID controller.
2) Remove the object of preventive replacement when the disk array unit is turned on.
3) Wait for 60 seconds or more, and then install a new RAID controller.
4) Confirm that the RAID controller become "failed" with the management software. Then click
"Close" button and remove the RAID controller when the disk array unit is turned on.
5) The controller OK LED lit on green within about two to three minutes. If not, remove and insert it
again.
6) Confirm the controller 0&1 icon turn to green with the disk array unit's management software then
click this icon. that the operating system can recognize the new RAID controller.
