    The length of the lever arm depends on one hand on the length of the lower leg and on the other hand on the load-bearing capacity of the injured structures. Thus, the lower leg pad is usually located just above the malleolus fork of the ankle joint (distal lever attachment). A gentler training method results from shortening the lever by bringing the pad closer to the knee joint (proximal lever approach).

    The adjustable foot plate allows for a variety of exercise options. The range of motion (starting and end position) can be precisely defined and limited for limited knee and hip joint mobility in extension and/or flexion. For this purpose, the distance between the seat/lying surface and the footplate is fixed by means of locking bolts, taking into account the movement restriction.

To do this, loosen the turning handles by turning them to the left (half turn) and adjust the supports.
