    Operator´s manual round bale wrapper 7640 Preparation for use 6.2 Connection to tractor or baler 6.2.1 Connecting to tractor Connect drawbar to tractor’s drawbar/ hitch. Use the drawbar eye bushing when connecting to tractor drawbar. Fit with ring and circlip on the upper side in order to avoid damage to bushing.

    Preparation for use 6.3 Hydraulics The wrapper requires a single acting outlet with free return directly to tank. Clean hydraulic oil will prevent excessive wear and premature failure of components. Change the tractor filter and oil as per manufacturer’s instructions (models S & C only).
  • Page 24 Operator´s manual round bale wrapper 7640 Preparation for use 6.3.3 Closed centre hydraulics When powered by tractors with closed centre hydraulics (John Deere 30-, 40- og 50-serie), the line of the valve block should be closed. Observe! When connecting to another type of tractor the centre plug must again be removed! Otherwise the hydraulic pump of the tractor will break down due to severe overheat- ing of oil.

    Preparation for use 6.4 Adaption for bale size 6.4.1 Table roller distance The rollers are factory fitted for 1,2m bale diameter. If the bale size is substantially larger, the rear roller has to be moved to the rear position to ensure maximum contact between bale and belts.

    Operator´s manual round bale wrapper 7640 Wrapping Wrapping 7.1 Loading film roll Fit the roll of wrapping film in the prestretcher. Note the direction of rotation. Clean the rollers if necessary. Attach the loose film end on the table. The film tail will be released after the first rota- tions and be wrapped.

Control unit (joy-stick) mounted in the tractor cab. The system can be operated in manual or semi autimatic mode.

    Operator´s manual round bale wrapper 7640 Operating model C 10 Operate model C 10.1 Structure 10.2 Mode of operati- The computerised control system includes on - sensors and two main components. A driver module (black box) fitted on the wrapper and a valves command panel fitted in the tractor cab.

    Operating model C 10.3 The control panel The keyboard (K) is used for operating the machine and to determine if fully automatic or partly automatic operation. The various key symbols are explained below. The joystick (J) is used to select parame- ters and to operate the selected joystick functions.

  • Page 49 Operating model C 10.7.5 Filmbreak sensor (5) Activates filmbreak sensor and optionally ½ speed by film end. 0 = Filmbreak sensor not activated 1 = Filmbreak sensor activated Filmbreak is notified by audio signal. Stop the satellite manually. When filmbreak is solved, reset the error message with the C-key and activate the process with OK.

    Operating model C 10.8 Dealer functions Dealer function screens display parameters that may be changed/configured by dealer level service people. The dealer functions can be activated when the & combination are activated at the same time in the Idle mode. The screens that appear are listed in the next section. Stepping to the next screen can be accomplished by operating the joystick.

In the automatic or manual cycle sensors are used to detect certain positions or conditions.

The second value shows the total counter of the machine. This value cannot be reset.
