Continuation Mode : (Stop and Go feature)
While your vehicle is running with your key, press the
you are now in the continuation mode. Your engine will continue running for the
preset time even if you take your key out of the ignition. You can now lock/arm the
vehicle if you wish to.

The anti-grind circuit (an optional feature provided by your installer) prevents
you from engaging the starter on a remote-started vehicle.
Reservation Mode (manual transmission only)
In order to auto-start your manual transmi s sion vehi c le, you must first set the CompuStar
system to Reservation Mode before leavi n g your vehi c le. The purpose of Reservation
Mode is to l e ave the transmission gear i n the neutral position when you l e ave your
vehicl e . Reservation mode i s intended for use on MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY
and NOT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. Reservation Mode must be engaged
each and every ti m e you l e ave your manual transmi s sion vehi c le i n order to auto-start i t .
Note :
The system i s not recommended for manual transmissi o n vehicles with
removabl e or converti b l e tops.
Important requirements to activate Reservati o n Mode

The transmission must be in the NEUTRAL position.

The vehi c le windows must be rol l ed up.

Do not set the reservati o n mode with peopl e i n the vehi c le.

Do not auto-start the vehicl e with peopl e i n si d e it.
Activati n g Reservati o n Mode ( MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY )

Step1 :
After arrivi n g at your desti n ation, and BEFORE TURNING YOUR
ENGINE OF F, pl a ce the transmi s sion in the Neutral posi t ion.
Step2 :
Activate the parking brake.
Step3 :
Remove your foot from the foot brake.
Step4 :
Remove the key from the ignition, and the engine wil l remai n running.
Step5 :
Exi t the vehi c le and close the door within two minutes after activating
the parking brake. The engi n e wi l l shut off and reservati o n mode for
the remote starter is now complete.

Your vehi c le is now ready for auto-starti n g. However, the reservati o n mode wil l be
cancelled if a door or hatch i s opened, or if the CompuStar system i s put in Val e t mode.
Once cancell e d, you wil l have to start the vehi c le wi t h the key and repeat the above
5 steps if you want to restore reservation mode.
I m p o r t a n t !
When you press the auto-start button, the car parking l i ghts wil l flash three ti m es,
pause, then flash seven times.
Cancel i ng Reservation Mode

If you do not want to set reservation mode, shut off the engine before you exit the
vehicl e . The engine will shut off for the followi n g reasons :

Trunk Release
Press the
and release your trunk door. If pressing the trunk release button does not release
the trunk, you will need to release the button and try again, as the remote stops
transmitting as soon as the LED stops flashing.
Note that the trunk release function will not only release the trunk but will unlock the
all doors as well.
Panic Mode
Press the

When the vehicle shuts off after reservation mode, the
CompuStar system wi l l lock/arm the vehicle.
If you try to auto-start the vehicle when reservation mode has
not been set, the auto-start feature wil l not work.
You did not activate the parking brake or pressed the foot brake when you turned
the manual key to the off posi t ion.
You released the parking brake whi l e the engine was running.
You entered Valet Mode after the Reservation Mode has been completed.
