Continuation Mode : (Stop and Go feature)
While your vehicle is running with your key, press the
you are now in the continuation mode. Your engine will continue running for the
preset time even if you take your key out of the ignition. You can now lock/arm the
vehicle if you wish to.

The anti-grind circuit (an optional feature provided by your installer) prevents
you from engaging the starter on a remote-started vehicle.
Reservation Mode (manual transmission only)
In or der to auto-start your m anual transmi s sion vehi c le, you must first set the CompuStar
system to Reservation Mode before l eavi n g your vehicle. The purpose of Reservation
Mode i s to l e ave the tr ansmissi on gear i n the neutr al position when you leave your
vehicl e . R eservation mode i s i ntended for use on MANUAL TRANSMISSIO NS ONLY
and NOT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSI ONS. Reservati on Mode m ust be engaged
each and every ti m e you l e ave your manual transmi s sion vehicle i n order to auto-start it.
Note :
The system i s not r ecommended for manual transmi ssi o n vehicles wi th
r emovabl e or conver ti b l e tops.
Important requirements to activate Reservati o n Mode

The transmission must be in the NEUTRAL posi ti on.

The vehi c le windows m ust be rol l ed up.
Do not set the reservati o n mode w ith peopl e i n the vehicle.

Do not auto-start the vehicl e with peopl e i n si d e i t.
Activati n g Reservati o n Mode ( MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY )

Step1 :
After arrivi n g at your desti n ation, and B EFORE TURNING YO UR
ENGI NE OF F, pl a ce the transmi s sion in the Neutral posi t ion.
Step2 :
Activate the parki ng brake.
Step3 :
Rem ove your foot from the f oot brake.
Step4 :
Remove the key from the ignition, and the engi ne wil l r emai n running.
Step5 :
Exi t the vehi c le and cl ose the door within two m inutes after activating
the parking br ake. The engi n e wi l l shut off and reservation mode for
the r emote starter is now compl ete.

Your vehi c l e is now ready for auto-starting. However, the reservati o n mode wil l be
cancelled if a door or hatch i s opened, or i f the CompuStar system is put in Valet mode.
Once cancell e d, you will have to start the vehi c le wi t h the key and repeat the above
5 steps if you want to restore reservation mode.
I m p o r t a n t !
When you press the auto-start button, the car parking l i ghts wil l flash three times,
pause, then flash seven times.
Cancel i ng Reservation Mode

If you do not want to set reservation mode, shut off the engine before you exi t the
vehicle. The engine will shut off for the fol lowi n g reasons :

Trunk Release
Press the
and release your trunk door. If pressing the trunk release button does not release
the trunk, you will need to release the button and try again, as the remote stops
transmitting as soon as the LED stops flashing.
Note that the trunk release function will not only release the trunk but will unlock the
all doors as well.
Panic Mode
Pr ess the

When the vehicle shuts off after reservati on mode, the
CompuStar system wi l l lock/ar m the vehicle.
If you try to auto- start the vehi cle when reservati on mode has
not been set, the auto-start f eature wil l not work.
You did not activate the parking brake or pressed the foot br ake when you turned
the manual key to the off posi t i on.
You released the parking brake while the engine was runni ng.
You entered Val et M ode af ter the Reservati on Mode has been compl eted.
