Cause/Remedy
Automatic dosing: Ž i-DOS check the dosage settings and, if required,
reduce the basic dosage.
If required, use a different liquid detergent/fabric softener.
Manual dosing: Have you used too much detergent? Use less detergent in
the next wash cycle.

Not a fault – when the appliance is switched on, this whirring sound occurs
briefly due to internal testing of the automatic dosing system.
Not a fault – when automatic dosing is activated, a whirring sound occurs after
water enters the drum during detergent dosing and in the last rinse cycle dur-
ing fabric softener dosing. The sound is caused by the Ž i-DOS pump unit and
is a normal operating noise.
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system has interrupted the
spin cycle because the laundry is unevenly distributed. Distribute small and
large items of laundry evenly in the drum.
Is Easy Iron additional programme setting selected (depending on the
model)?
Is S Silent Wash additional programme setting or Silent wash pro-

Is the selected speed too low?
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is adjusting an imbalance.
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is adjusting an imbal-

Not a fault – the foam detection system is activated – a rinse cycle has
been switched on.

process. This may change the length of the programme shown on the display
panel.
