I have a leak at the base of hot water faucet. Removed handle but unable to remove base. It is circular and don't see a way to clamp a tool on it without scratching chrome.
To remove the base of a PEERLESS Elmhurst P3565LF Series hot water faucet without damaging the chrome, follow these steps:
1. Turn Off Water Supply – Shut off the hot and cold water supply.
2. Remove the Handle – Turn the base of the handle counterclockwise by hand to remove it.
3. Remove the Cartridge – If the leak is from the spout, replace the cartridge.

5. Reassemble Carefully – Reinstall the aerator and tighten components without over-tightening to avoid damage.
