- Page 3 Begin by removing the old cone and coil from the woofer. Use a sharp knife, carefully cutting the surround, spider and tinsels. You can also use a heat gun (carefully!) to warm the parts to around 110 degrees. This will soften the adhesive sufficiently to strip the speaker without cutting.
- Page 4 fit the dustcap we recommend to use strips of masking tape in closely arranged straight lines to form a circular mask - this will prevent excess glue from contaminating the new cone. Apply an even bead of adhesive and make sure the dust cap is pressed on centrally and firmly.
