Radar motion detector
3. Functional description
The motion sensor has been designed for installation in a 60mm-deep flush-type
box. It comes in two versions, one 230V AC version for use as normal motion detector
with an isolated output to actuate 230V AC loads (lamps, or similar), or one 12V DC
version for use as alarm with an isolated output to actuate 230V AC loads.
For use as an alarm, it is possible to deactivate the light/dark recognition by inserting
a plug-in jumper.
For 12V DC operation, it is necessary to provide a stabilized 12V DC power source able
to deliver approx. 70mA. The built-in control LED serves to indicate operational status.
The motion detector is only permitted for indoor use. While installing it in the flush/
-type box it is absolutely necessary to ensure that your hands and shoes, the floor
and connecting leads are dry.
The responsiveness, the hold time and the threshold for recognizing light/dark can
be adjusted by using the control located on the front. The sensor's maximum range
is approx. 8-10m depending on the surroundings. The hold time can be adjusted for
approx. 2 seconds to approx. 5 minutes.
